About the Event
Want to know the names of our local trees and how to tell them apart?Â
Forest for Learning will be offering a tree identification course in September that will cover 20-30 species of native trees. Â
This training will include leaf, twig, bud and bark characteristics, Latin and common names,  wildlife utilization, ecological relationships, wood properties, and human uses including for food, fiber and medicine.Â
The course will take place on the first 2 Sundays in September and feature tree species introductions as well as coaching and quizzes to help you remember what you learn. Â
Come explore the Forest for Learning as we hike the trails and discover the trees that grow there!
Registration is limited to 15 students, and is by $30 donation to the Forest for Learning, LLC, however nobody will be turned away for inability to pay.
